Pre-Moving Guide

As a DFW area Mover we want to be able to offer our clients the best experience possible. So, we created this moving guide to help you with your move.

Here you will get great ideas to make moving easier for you and your moving company.

Donate / sell anything you do not want the moving company to ship.  Have a garage sale or donate unwanted items to charity. (Moves are calculated by weight and distance or time.)

Collect / return goods that have been borrowed by/from neighbors.

Check with your new town hall concerning local laws for moving permits, pet licenses, vaccinations, recycling, etc.

Find good homes from plants that you are not bringing with you.

Ask your doctors to recommend doctors in your new area. Transfer medical, school and other vital records.

Open new bank accounts and set a date for the reactivation of utilities.

Give the moving company your cell phone number, your new home number and/or your email address.

Make arrangements for the shipping of pets.  Check to see that your pet is in good condition before the move.  Update all vaccinations that your new municipality requires.  Transfer your pet’s records. For help moving your pet, go to www.airanimal.com

Make sure your car is in good working order (checked by a mechanic) before starting your trip.  This will allow adequate time to find a mechanic who comes recommended.
